I found this image through a link from the billy woods website, its screenprinted i just thought it was a really god example of how you can print using just one colour from a photo and still make an effective image.

When i was looking through the book tactile, i came across pixelgarten, they link it to what i was saying about making things 3D and cut out of card, something i want to try and encorporate in one of my 4 directed breifs.

Brice Domingues

All her work has a very scientific approach and a strong meaning behind it, this stemed from doing a degree in biological science.Her work is promarilly type based but she deals with image aswell, she was born in France and alot of her work links back to her home town.

This poster was given away as a one of piece at the design entrepreneur of the year awards, i think its clever because the type is relatively simple but the idea of having two sides to it and two differnt colours reflects the qoute well, the differnce between dreaming and reality.

logo

The epilepsy logo i think is so effective, its in a speech mark and the use of symbols to still spell the word epilepsy is clever.My sister has epilepsy and i think they have observed cleverly how people feel about it, people don't understand what it is and what to do if somebody starts fitting!


I was looking through the book" Logo" by Michael Evamy, its basically a book that is full of logo design, some for big brand companies, others for smaller companies,only a few stood out to me, i picked the shelter logo because i think it is so simple yet so effective, the use of a house for the letter H works perfectly yet it such a simple idea.
The next logo was for a company thet ran piano lessons, i think the use of type to create image is wgat had grabbed my intention, again its really simple and really effective.
