Hint magazine

Found this magazine,thought it was really relevant to what Ive done in visual language because of the illustrations onto images, one of the things that i hope to do is start to use my drawings as development work and then be able to move them on further by finishing them into illustrator.

In visual language i am illustrating magazine articles, its interesting to see how other artists do it,to show hoe you dont always need photography to finnish of an article it cab be illustration aswell.

Doing the oxfam brief i am drawing alot of normally objects like money, i was struggling on how to put this into context and thought that maybe drawing couldnt be used for advertising but when i looked at this work in gave me confidence that drawing could sell products and advertise.

Doing the visual language sessions i have really struggled to bring colour in my work, i was looking for illustrators that had simply line drawings and how they managed to fit colour in, alot of her work is line based and then filled with colour. It really helped me in starting to think how i could encorporate this in my work.

I found this illustrator on the " picture book",the collage mixed with the illustration is effective, although when you go on the website it gets slightly repetive, and maybe this style has already been done!
